The 18-year-old Scottish-born Chinese actress beat 5,000 hopefuls in clinching the role as Harry Potter's first girlfriend. The offer came easy for the first-time actress : she took her Dad's advice and went for the audition, and she got it. "I feel really, really lucky to be in this position," enthuses the pretty lass at an interview. "It puts me under some pressures, but I like challenges."

Perhaps it's her zero experience in acting that prompted some die-hard fans of Harry Potter to launch vicious hate campaigns against the actress in Britain. They attacked everything about Leung - from her looks to her wealthy family background (which reportedly helped her land a role in Harry Potter effortlessly). "It (the hate mail) hasn't affected me in so many ways," she speaks with full confidence. "It makes me want to prove that I can do it."
