Under Harry's Spell At Snogwarts
IT'S official. The schoolboy wizard Harry Potter is all grown up. In a tender scene, he shares a sweet kiss with the long-standing object of his affections Cho Chang. It was Potter star Daniel Radcliffe's first on-screen smooch. Radcliffe, 17, and Scottish actress Katie Leung, who plays Cho, took an astonishing 30 takes to get their first love scene just right. The teens get close in the fifth film of the series, The Order Of The Phoenix. Harry has long harboured a crush on quidditch player Cho but she was dating Cedric Diggory, who died in fourth movie, The Goblet Of Fire. The couple find themselves alone in the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts school, where Dumbledore's Army have been teaching themselves Defence Against The Dark Arts - and suddenly notice some mistletoe. Radcliffe, who is worth £23million, said: "We probably got it on the 30th take. My God, it was fun. Me and Katie - we were awkward and nervous at first but once we got it, it was fine." Katie, 19, of Motherwell, added: "Daniel is a good kisser. I really enjoyed it. He's energetic and makes you feel relaxed. "He talks all the time and tells you not to be nervous. It's great working with him." Producer David Yates said: "We did many, many, many takes and it's very tender and loving, as the first kiss should be." » Back |
