Harry Potter: Dumbledore's Army
How have things changed for you since you got involved with the Harry Potter films? "I've travelled abroad and been to so many places that I never would have [gone to]. I went to Japan, China, New York. It's probably one of the highlights of doing the film. Just being back to do the fifth on was really enjoyable. I felt more at home this time round, being around familiar faces again and also I was more comfortable in front of the camera, more confident. I felt my acting had improved since I first started." What was it like kissing Daniel Radcliffe? Did you have to practice much? "He was a good kisser! I think it's better we didn't practice, because it is supposed to be a pretty awkward moment. Very sweet at the same time, it is his first kiss, so it's not perfect. But yeah, hopefully when people see it they'll reflect back to the first time they kissed." Has Cho changed much since the last film? "She is pretty different in this one. Her character - her boyfriend dies in the end of the fourth one, so she gets really emotional. This time round, it was a challenge playing her." Any funny moments from filming? "No, I wish we did. We always get asked that question. We didn't really, but the Room of Requirement scenes - all the students are involved in, most of the time we're just waiting around and we'd have to stand in a circle while we're training. Rupert would just start laughing, giggling for no apparent reason. As soon as he started, everyone started, and it was just incredibly hard to stop. But no, we had so much fun. It's just when you look at him, you start laughing, it's really hard not to. The crew get so wound up, because they're just trying really hard to get it over and done with. But we get away with it, cos we're kids." Have you seen the kiss onscreen yet? "I have, I had to watch it when I was doing the ADR for the film, which is the voice-overs. There was a bit of dialogue where we actually did the kiss. David Case was there, so he wanted me to watch it. They played it back quite a few times. It was really hard to watch, but I was pleased with it. I really enjoyed it. " Is Cho in the next book, do you think? "I don't think she's going to be in it, to be honest. She's not a big deal any more to Harry, Harry likes Ginny, so...I know a lot of people have different theories, very indepth theories - essays written on what she thinks is going to happen. I don't want to think about it, make any sorts of conclusions. I want to be surprised by what happens." » Back |
