Harry Potter star Katie Leung mingled with the style set this week as she attended the British Fashion Council's Fashion Forward party at London's Haymarket hotel.

The talented Scottish actress who beat 4,000 other hopefuls to win the part of Cho Chang in The Order of the Pheonix looked perfectly at home alongside Model Liberty Ross ad some of fashion's brightest new stars.

Katie, who is just 19 years old, becomes Harry Potter's first girlfriend in the latest movie and the pair share a much anticipated first kiss.

The strikingly pretty millionaires daughter is set to be a big star and is already showing she knows her fashion.

Other young stars at the event included Rod Stewart's daughter Ruby, who is already following her older sister Kimberley down the catwalk as she makes her mark in modelling.

The night was organised to decide the winning British designers of this season's Fashion Forward sponsorship scheme.

Richard Nicoll, Sinha-Stanic and Jens Laugesen were announced as the winners of the prize package which aims to help them raise their profile at London Fashion Week.

The sponsorship consists of a substantial cash prize towards funding a catwalk show. The scheme also includes business-mentoring services to help build a lasting brand name.
